“I usually start my pieces without any specific direction, I like to keep it this way.
My artistic style stems from the principles of ‘drawing’ and ‘mark making.’
I find pleasure in the constant back and forth struggle between figurative and non figurative forms, which itself becomes a significant component of my work.
Contrary to traditional drawing and painting, mark making has been a step forward in finding my own sense of originality. I feel like my art will evolve in due time, and become more personal as long as I continue to learn.
Willem de Kooning, Anselm Kiefer, and Cy Twombly have been my greatest influences.
I find inspiration in unusual places and things (e.g., textures, cracks on walls, street art). Although others would not consider the preceding as art, I find these to be the most visually stimulating.”
